Margaret Mitchell

American author (1900-1949)

Margaret Mitchell wrote the novel Gone With the Wind, a best-seller which was made into a blockbuster 1939 film. Her novel won the Pulitzer Prize in 1937 and sold over 23 million copies world-wide. The movie won eight Academy Awards and many other film awards.
