Mobile Campaign

American Civil War Campaign (1865)

The Mobile Campaign was a Civil War Campaign designed to take the strategic Confederate City of Mobile. Because after the Battle of Mobile Bay the city still laid in Confederate Hands, the Union Army and Navy waged a campaign to take the areas outside Mobile, Alabama and for a surrender of the city. The battles in this campaign was the Battle of Mobile Bay (not technically part of the campaign but it was where it essentially started), The Battle of Spanish Fort, and the Battle of Fort Blakeley.
