American patriot (1722-1803)
Samuel Adams was a statesman, politician, writer and one of the Founding Fathers of the U.S. He encouraged protests against British control of the colonies, including the Stamp Act and the tea tax, which culminated in the Boston Tea Party.
He was a member of the Continental Congress.
