Tredegar Iron Works

American Major Civil War Foundry (1833-1952)

The Tredegar Iron Works was a major foundry in the United State before, during and after the Civil War. The foundry didn't stop production until a major fire closed it down in 1952. Tredegar was the single most important industrial site for the Confederacy during the Civil War.
