On This Very Spot on February 12, 1800, Abraham Lincoln was born on his father's farm. He lived here for his first two years.

On This Very Spot in 1916, a national park was established.

Bonus Spot: This spot is ten miles from Lincoln's second childhood home at Knob Creek. Both spots are part of the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site.

Condition: On the site of Lincoln's birth, an early 19th-century log cabin, symbolizing the one in which Lincoln was born, is enshrined inside a memorial building. The spot is surrounded by 116 acres of Thomas Lincoln's Sinking Spring farm.
