On This Very Spot in May 1955 Bill Haley and the Comets played the first rock and roll show to be held at Carnegie Hall.

On This Very Spot on February 12th, 1964, three days after their appearence on the Ed Sullivan Show, The Beatles played two concerts here.

On This Very Spot a number of rock and pop stars have played here including: Chicago, T.Rex, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The James Gang, Van Morrison, The Allman Brothers, The Byrds, Elton John, Pink Floyd, Ike Turner, Tina Turner, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, The Four Seasons, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Beach Boys, Jeff Beck, Smokey Robinson, Frank Zappa, Neil Young, B. B. King, Billy Joel, Arlo Guthrie and The Mamas and the Papas.

On This Very Spot a number of Orchestral performences have premiered, including sets written, conducted, or performed by Arnold Schoenberg, George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, Igor Stravinsky, and Duke Ellington.
