New York, New York 10003
United States

On This Very Spot in 1866, Steinway & Sons opened their original flagship showroom, which remained here until 1925, when it moved to its present location. The products for this showroom were built at the Steinway & Sons Factory.

On This Very Spot in 1873, a photograph was taken of Steinway Hall that was published in the New York Graphic (right). This was the first American use of the halftone process used to print photos in newspapers.
