Theodore Roosevelt was born.
On This Very Spot in 1865, six-year-old Teddy Roosevelt observed the funeral procession of
Abraham Lincoln as it passed in front of his home.
On This Very Spot Roosevelt lived until he was fourteen years old.

Condition: Roosevelt's original birthplace was demolished in 1916, but after his death it was rebuilt and decorated with many of its original furnishings.
