Condition: This area is now industrial and a viaduct towers over the street where Jones lived. There is nothing to see here, and this spot is worth a visit only for Casey Jones completists.

Location: Jackson is located on I-40 in west Tennessee, about halfway between Memphis and Nashville. This very spot is located at the southwest corner of downtown Jackson, less then 10 minutes from I-40.

Nearest Major Airport: Memphis International

Directions: From I-40, take Exit 80A for Highway 45 Bypass south. Pass Casey Jones Village on your right and continue south for about five miles. You will go up and over a viaduct, from which you will see downtown Jackson on your left. At the bottom of the viaduct, take your first left onto S. Shannon Street, then another quick left. Keep right to avoid going back up onto the viaduct, and you will be on West Chester Street. Jones's house was on the right side of the street in the vacant lot just past the first street.
